About Tanya

I have always been interested in people and what makes us tick!

My own counselling journey has been varied, and I have encountered a mix of counsellors along the way, some solid and carefully challenging, and some not so great a fit, so I realise how important a good counselling relationship is.

I have been a counsellor for over 20 years and a supervisor of counsellors for over 15 years.

I enjoy being in nature as well as reading, studying and continuing my professional learning especially in working with how the body stores and can release stress and trauma.

Having experienced chronic fatigue and ME, I am especially interested in working with people who struggle with chronic illness as well as those who have experienced difficulties, control and abuse within spiritual and religious settings.

I have been a counselling trainer for OCN and CPCAB from Introduction through all the levels in between to L6 Trauma Course. I enjoy running workshops for counsellors too.

Here is a link to a video in which I explain my love for counselling and why I work the way I do. Please feel free to watch it. You might want to watch it in chunks or fast forward as it is about 27 minutes.
